Can it be used outdoors?

Swanstone solid surface products are not recommended for exterior use. Material should not be used in areas exposed to sustained temperatures exceeding 450°F.


How well does it withstand heat?

Our material is heat-resistant, so you will not experience any thermal expansion and contraction. Our surfaces can even handle steamer units.


Are there any chemicals or cleaners to avoid using?

For shower floors and walls, do not use “leave-on” cleaning products, such as automatic spray shower cleaners or cleaning agents that caution use on acrylic, polyester or plastics.


How do I care for my Swanstone solid surface product?

Cleaners designed for removing mineral-based stains can be used on Swanstone, as well as a mild solution (50/50) of chlorine bleach and water.

For kitchen sinks, rinse any food or beverage residue as soon as possible and follow up with normal household cleaners.

For vanity tops, clean with normal household cleaners.

For shower floors and walls, clean regularly with common household liquid cleaners and a sponge or soft cloth.

In the event of a scratch, start with a powdered abrasive cleaner and scrubbing pad. If necessary, use white automotive rubbing compound or a light sanding with a 400 grit or 40 micron sandpaper.


Is there a warranty available?

Swanstone wall panels and trim kits, vanity tops and bowls, drop-in kitchen and bar sinks, window trim kits and shower floors are covered by a limited lifetime warranty for residential applications. For commercial applications Swan offers the following limited warranties:

25-year Limited Warranty on wall panels and trim kits
25-year Limited Warranty against thermal cracking on our vanity tops and bowls
10-year Limited Warranty against defects on countertops
10-year Limited Warranty against defects and/or thermal cracking on our kitchen sinks and bar sinks
10-year Limited Warranty against warping, blistering, loss of color, or fading on shower floors.

Is there a warranty available?

Veritek wall panels, bathtubs and shower floors are covered by a limited lifetime warranty for residential application. Swanstone Veritek utility sinks and basins are covered by a limited 1 year warranty for residential applications.

For commercial applications, a five year Limited Warranty is available on bathtubs, bath and shower walls, and shower floors. In addition, a one year Limited Warranty is available on utility sinks and basins.
